Seriously now, I don't know what the hell caused it, but there's something installed in my computer that is bloody annoying. It's some software that sometimes stays in the windows tray (that thing beside the clock) and that wants me to register to some Italian free porn site. I've already scanned for virus and nothing was found. Then I deleted the programme. 2 minutes later the bloody thing had renamed itself and it's been this way for the last 4 months. How do I get rid of it? All I managed to do is to edit the "exe" file and the programme doesn't run anymore, but it's somehow still running :( |
Try restarting in safe mode, and delete everything about that program that you know using dos (usually you can delete anything like this). After that just try Norton and ad-aware, delete your cookies and clean out your registry. |

| internet pop-ups remind me of bonzai buddies. no matter how many times you uninstall a bonzai buddy, it keeps reappearing. i think it is an evil entity, rather than just a computer program. |

Pop-ups and adware are really annoying, but I found solutions for them. That little Pop-Up Stopper proggy works pretty good. As for adware, we have Ad-Aware that removes all the ad crap from our compy.
I also dislike websites designed in Flash that appears in a big pop-up window, it takes a lot of bandwidth and time to load therefore all the graphic effects are not worth it imho. |
