hey all

just wanted to say thanks to everyone for showing up in washington to hear us play last nite - i was completely dumbfounded by how many people drove extremely long distances to come hear us play...(big grin)

as you may have noticed, josh and i are trying to make our dj sets more like our studio collaborations, so we've been experimenting with different things in our sets recently. we tried the 4 on 4 thing for the glow gig and after a rough start, i think we managed to iron out the kinks and rock out. we both certainly had a lot of fun and that is attributed to you guys for creating such a cool vibe, singing the songs and putting your hands in the air a lot!

as for deep breath love - it's most likely not going to be the follow up to "as the rush comes" - it's a song im very proud of on many levels, but it should not be compared to ATRC in any way and i prob made a mistake by calling it the "follow up" to ATRC. we plan on doing an entire album with jes, showing our many musical sides with the songs in the process.

i'm beginning to think that songs like ATRC only come around so often based on the response it got last night...utterly fantastic!!!

oh, by the way, we signed motorcycle to positiva records in the uk! they will be releasing our mixes, markus and armin's mixes sometime in the fall.

regards,
dave

I loved G&D's set on Saturday night. I'm glad I decided to go after all. It was nice to meet pyro & michelle, vtec junkie & beema.

My god, just being there was fantastic. I had a blast and met a couple of TAs. What a fun time. I particularly liked their song
As the rush comes and cannot wait to get my hands on a copy. Positiva you say? Man, looks like I'll have to dosh out on the import CD. By the way, any official site for Gabriel and Dresden out there?

Had a little bit too much fun once again ... I can't really remember how I got home, and I spent an exorbitant amount of money. But anyway the crowd was superb and g&b did not fail to disappoint. Definetely saw you behind me with the vandit shirt frost.

I saw a few people taking video and pictures...who was that and will it be posted? I want to check them out! I know both Josh & Dave were holding the video camera.

Gerald was the one with the camera. we will post the pics on Glows web site.

By 1:30am you guys had the club in your back pockets. I'm just upset that I got there late, missing "Pavement Cracks!!!!"

To say that it was a great pleasure to see you and Josh spin a live set would be putting it mildly! You both rock!!!

He wasn't filming video? That was too big of a camera to just be still.

Josh & Dave were doing video and the other guy was doing stills. Yeah, it's that big. lol I beileve it's a sony. I have one similiar to the one he had. It can take video, but not that great of a quality and not long ones because of the memory stick. The better video would come from Josh & Dave, since they had a DV cam.

I gotcha.

I personally have a Canon Powershot G2 digi-cam that can record small, low-quality (quicktime) video clips, but it's not nearly as large as that Sony the dude was shooting with.

I figured it was a DVR he was using because of the size, but now I'm disappointed because it seemed like he was recording from quite a few angles which I thought would have been awesome to see on video.
