Why are we here kinda thing.
Obv going through a depressed stage thing right now. Just bored and wondering. Maybe a bit to mind boggling for some TA's :p
But what is the point of living. Fair enough if i become a rich club owner, and get a chance to make others smile i could say my life has had some purpose. But i have done 13 years of education, now i have probably 52 years of work ahead of me, and by the time i get to 70 life expectancy should be near 100+. So thats oooh 30 years of being old and bored, prob going on about "in my day".
Anyway the point of this thread is, what do u wanna get out of life?
Are you happy plodding along in a dead end job, just earning enough to go out, have some fun, and have really nothing to show for yr life. Or do u wanna do something which when u look back u can say, wow, i had a pretty good life?
Hopefully ill be able to reach my dream, living in for example ibiza running a club, and living a relaxed lifestyle, and eventually supporting my own kids and giving them the best possible chance of a good life as well.
I think the future holds a lot, and im looking forward to the road my life takes, but there is a side of me that thinks i might end up acheiving nothing, and look back and think what a waste.
Anyway rant over, yr views, or is it more of, im young and gonna have fun now, think later :p

The more time we spend wanting things, the less time we spend doing what we're supposed to do (which occasionally leads to not noticing what we're supposed to see). You can't "want" things from life, because you've got no control over it. Obviously, living a "carpe diem" lifestyle is irresponsable, so I guess you need to find your way in the middle. Set some goals and enjoy life at every moment. Enjoy the bad things, because without them you wouldn't know how valuable the good things are. Learn from your mistakes, so you won't need to see the same thing going on and on.
Don't be afraid of looking back and realising that you've got nothing. No matter what you do, nothing is yours: the people around you, the things you "own", it's all gonna be away from you someday. What you'll have are memories. Memories of the things you fought for, studying or working. Memories of the people that were worth meeting. All this sort of stuff...
... life is 50% "doing" and "feeling" and 50% "wanting" and "planning"....
... that's my perspective. All I can say is that life became a lot better to me after I started to see it this way :)
And then you say: Maaz, you haven't told why you think we're here. My answer? I've got no idea of what the hell we're doing here myself, I guess there's something just taking a piss on us. In any case, I'd better try to enjoy it too, otherwise it wouldn't be fair :p |

| well, if eveything goes to plan i'll be living a fantastic life when i'm 35, performing lotsa boob and face jobs and cruising around Kensington in my Bentley. By the time my kids are in their late teens it will all be good for them! don't forget about inheritance as well....:toothless j/k |

Not too sure why we're here but i reckon this is only stage 1 of existence. This life time prepares you for stage 2... what that is... well, i have no idea.
Just try your best to enjoy it and always take risks:D |

Im here to make the most of it.... not to sit on my ass n think about stuff all the time, but make some dicisions and then actively work towards them 100%. other wise i dont think we're likely to move on... life takes place in the physical after all.
Im an eternal optomist, life is a learning curve to the bitter and happiest of endings but i think its gonna be the best ride of all. :D |
