no but i bet the images wouldve been better with a nikon lol he/she probably couldve taken more too with an slr.
also...photo journalists are rarely respected photographers. granted thats the most obvious field...no top grad would CHOOSE to be a photo j...being one makes you work for other peoples ideas not your own. |

That's because there's no money to be made in art. I went to a school that taught you how to be a technically good photographer. Pratt is located in Brooklyn, and my good friend is a techer there. Directions are listed here, if u needed to go: http://www.pratt.edu/campus/ |

I hope that we can all agree that someone has to be banned here. We don't need to start the day off with personal insults. Tempers are flaring right now and we don't need anymore of these types of insults.
I suggest we just let this thread die and have it over with as it is. I don't even want to look at some of the things that were said. |

thats true...having a better camera just makes things easier. i can use ty camera for portraits as long as the lense isnt fuked. but when u get into shooting things that are moving at high rates of speed you need faster lenses and better cams. take a soccer match for instance. with a ty camera I might get 2-3 good pics of a good play. with a good camera and fast optics i can lock onto the moving object and take 30 good pics of the same play. chances are that one of the 30 will be better than 1 of the 2. |

ok, your posts have gone below the acceptable level of stupidity I will allow myself to lower to. your views on what makes a photographer valid, good, or worthy in your books are just ing dumb. I guess all those photo books pubished by photojournalists thru time made them the bottom of the barrel?
Seriously, go back to school, throw those comments about your photographic theories past your professors, and see if they don't give u an A+ for being so damn clueless. |

But who am I to judge, I like photography and swear by Canon, and so did my father who was a photographer for the Canadian Military for 25 years, but then what would he know?? Right???
