Help With Windows Shutting Down Unexpectedly....

Need help.

Ive been getting a message which gives me 60 seconds before windows shuts down and restarts....

The message which sais it shuts down sais its a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service which terminated unxpectedly.

Now what is this? A virus? Or is it windows ed? Need help if any of you can help me out with this.

Im runing under Windows XP..

write down the error and then go to google and type it in in ""'s you will get what it means and how to fix it

I got something like this too previous year
It gave me a message "memory dump" and it counts to 100%
Then shuts down..
A problem with your memory, maybe a conflict between your memory and your video card (that's what my problem was)

i had the same thing 3 times in a row earlier. now its gone it is wierd nev er happen to me before.

It's a new virus I think... it's spreading very fast..
there is a fix for win xp s u can't get that virus.. www.microsoft.com

yep its a virus, if u check whats on your startup, run->msconfig->startup u should see a file call msblast.exe. i check every hardware forum in the last 5 min and every got the same frickkeng thnag. get your windows updated and/or turn on your firewall or they said go here and get this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

It really does sound like a new virus...

i use a lil program called trojan remover. It detects trojans that virus scanners like norton etc cant pick up.

you could try that, jus search for "trojan remover" in google search, the manufacturers are called simply sup software i think, Its not that hard to find though.

I've had the exact same problem 5 times in a row. I've managed to update xp though through using the computers other profile. Just hope i can manage to remove it from my own user profile. I really think those who invent those virusses need to get a good :whip:
