PC wont connect to mirc, k-lite++, dc++, emule etc

Hi
i need some serious help, dont worry its computer related :p, but my pc wont connect to any programs like mirc, emule, kazaa lite ++, dc++ etc. I keep getting connection refused messages and being told my internet may be down but obviously it isnt. It has no problems using IE though. And no i dont have a firewall running.

| i have Lavasoft Ad-Aware 5.5, just running it now to see what it can do to help, if thats what you meant :conf: |

ad-aware didnt help :whip:
edit: meh! turning ON my firewall has seemed to have solved it |

Whatever your problem is... I'm having this problem as well :D This is why I don't use mIrc :p
If turning on your firewall worked, I don't know what could work in my case, because I DO have a firewall running :toothless |

| dunno mate, the reason mine i think need the firewall is because its on that sets up programs to ask for access but because the firewall wasnt on they couldnt ask :rolleyes: |
