I'm expecting alot of flaming for this, but please forgive me. I don't meant to disrespect anybody. Its just something I've recently encountered.
Persians4Life
All that being proud of your nationality is good, but do you think that you guys go overboard with it? I am not talking about the people on the TA communicty, but I am making a huge generalization about fob persians.
Lately I've encountered persians that are, pardon for saying this, ass holes. And the only thing they have going is "Persan4Life." And they would go around giving the looks and then would say someting like "Dun fuk with da persianS" with this " you" atittude. It would be fine by me to be proud of your people, but its another thing to go around saying "persians will kill ya." In a way, they've addopted Gino's "I'm da , lets have a fight" attitude. Another thing, they are very seperate and have this distinct hate for other coultures. Where is this supperiority and desire to kick my ass coming from?
Don't get me wrong, there are obvously good persians and all other races do it. But persians seem to stick out in my mind latley. Maybe its the neighbourhood I'm living in, or the people I chill with, who knows.
While thinking about it, the only excuse I come up with is that its only fob people that do that. And by fob I don't mean just the chinks, but the general "fop(fresh of the planes)" population of today's diverse youth. I guess it takes time before one adopts to the diversity and accepts it for what it is.
Sorry to have picked on persians in particular, but this "Dun fuk with da persians" line really sticks out in my mind, and I had this distinc urge to break the guy's nouse for his smug smile. I had to share this with ya.
No hard feelings guys, and lets not have another Khallala thread here! GAW!!! The one that got closed was ENOUGHT! I just read that and it was a complete disaster.

yes , all cultures have people who act this way. Persians are no different. Western society (especially in large cities) seem to provide a fertile environment for such sentiments since people tend to associate themselves with other members of their own cultural community. And unfortunately you end up with this competitive brovado at times.
I find that it's just limited to a younger crowd. Once people grow older they mature and find that this type of behaviour is really stupid and counterproductive.

*DiS gets out of his hiding place* Phew! I was expecting some hardcore flaming coming towards my way.
The whole deal with Mujik was ridicilous. I've read the netire thread and the way people took things out of context and continued at it for pages. Simple jokes escalated into wars. The whole khalla business started me into it actually. Anyways, the "fops" i mentioned are the ones from High School days, which for me are finally over. I even missed them a bit. Lets see that higher eduaction has in store for me next.
btw, dEsidEL, do you ever sleep? It seems like you're the only TA that replies to my posts late at night! Good luck with your ligamitis(bah, splz.).

ok the whole persian4life thing was actualy made by hadcore_trancer and I. It was actually made up to make FUN of the fob gino thug type people. Yes it got carried away, but it was never meant to be something exclusive and wholy elitest. If you look at the posts of myself or Hardcore trancers, or met us you'd see that we don't at all fit the gino thugish, persean4life stereotype. Don't worry though I didnt take offensive to anything you said you're absolutly right, but just know that the whole premise of the persian4life thing was to actually make FUN of those people, though you also have to understand one thing about persian culture. I'm a rabid Canadian and before all things I say that i'm a Canadian, I realize that I am part of a civilization that is so old, and has accompolished so much. Albeit lately its the pit of the world, it used to be the jewel of the civilized world and so the country is rich in culture and history and I have pride in that, you would to.
Anyways I apologize once again to those that have been annoyed by all this stuff, it was all in good fun and wasn't meant to hurt anybody.

anybody thinks this arrogance and racism is limited to immigrants is fooling themselves. take a walk through a rural canadian high school and ask their opinions about other races.
Anyway, I dont have a problem with immigrants comming here. I think its wonderful actually. I just hate it when immigrants come and complain. When their parents come here to start a new life in a safe and peaceful country and all they do is complain about how much they hate it here. Really if you dont like the country.. get the out.. get out of my country if you hate here.
