Europeans, how is the heat wave, and what are people doing about it?

in the uk, as our trains are crap, speed limits of 20mph have been imposed in places due to the risk from buckled tracks, some of out motorways have melted a bit, my mate got carried away on his motorbike and got caught doing 72mph in a 60 zone, the local corner shop has no ice cream left and my cpu core temps 6C higher than normal

I enjoy it quite a lot. Much better than last year's "rain wave". Chilling @ lake > Constant rain and floods imo. Anywayz, what's there much to do: Drink more, wear less, go to the water...have a good time

i was in holland and london last week. in holland we went to the pool and got a tan. in london people were passing out on the tube, including one girl in my carriage while i was headed to heathrow! my friends who live there were loving the weather but that was at the very beginning of the heat wave. i'm not sure if they still like it now.

The tubes and trains are being a nightmare for london folks, im not even taking the bus home, im walking. Its turning people crazy, they shut a few of the main stations n people were starting to fight. There was this one woman who got annoyed with a man who kept on bumbing into her, so she snapped, then he retaliated by dodging around in front of her going 'cant do anything i'm not touching you'. Funny but a bit worrying.

Saturday i worked my ass off gardening, got dizzy every time i stood up. But we rewarded oursleves with great tunes n getting mashed on the shed roof that evening. Sunday was nice, to hot to do much except sip white wine spritzers n hose ourselves down every 20mins. I like the sun, but more on holiday than when im working coz u really cannot b arsed to do much when in it.

Cold showers morning and night are also a blessing ive discovered, that and the fan in my bedroom.

I say roll on winter, cozy nites in n coffee shops :D

I was in Milano last week and it was 35 degrees if not more. Its their warmest summer in 100 years. I heard that 8 old people died in one day. Someone told me they had 49 degrees one day if you count the heat that the humidity adds.

after a very hot summer comes a very cold winter :D

the heat wave in Holland is almost over, today it was 38 degrees celsius (where I live), tomorrow cold wind is coming in, and it will only be 28 degrees

I work outside, but I don't mind getting some sun. Ok, the sweat is awful at times and you're drinking buckets of water but still it's pretty much ok :)
