Hey all, two questions.
I have a site though Comcast, my ISP already but it only has about 20 MB of space. Since mixes are obviously much larger, any ideas where a good place to host them is?
Also, looking to buy a domain name, any cheap but reliable online places?
Thx |

Globalbeatz (formerly TexasBeatz) also has a free package. You can host up to 3 mixes (max), and a max of 3-4 downloads a day. There's no real file size constraint, although I'd recommend mp3 format. They have a rotating playlist and play the more popular sets.
Its free.
Or as Jade has done, you can pay to increase it from 3 to 10 mixes and unlock the daily download limit. Saving the file or streaming it each count as 1 download. So one newbie could accidently right click it, stream part of it, realize he made a mistake, go back and right click save as, and use two of your 3/4 downloads.
I have a mix on there as well, 3 under Dj commisad (old ones, like early 2003) and 1 under Thrillergy.
The thrillergy mix is a bit better at transitions and better track selection than my older mixes, but is fairly dull in the sense that its just straight transitions. Im working on a new one now. |
