my ear is swollen...help?

i got my ear cartilage pierced about a week ago...my gf hit it on accident and now its a bit swollen...hurts too...i'd tried to loosen up the stud by i cant reach into the spot to grab it, (i got the cheapest, smallest one cuz i wanted a hoop)...anyway...i got some antiseptic for it from the place that pierced it...my mom says to put iodine to lesser to swellen and to speed up the healing process? anyone know if thas kool?

i watched a documentary about a girl who had her ears pierced, and the needle was infected, and it proper ed her ear up. Bits fell off and she had to hav plastic sugery to make it look normal again :eek: Bless her little cotton socks :( |
