Every group has a "policy" on how people should behave. Even here on TA: spamming, flamming, trolling... this behaviour is not tolerated here - obviously this is a rather dumb example, but we can use this as an analogy for trivial things from daily life.

i think a reason some people choose not to reveal who they really are is because people will treat them diffrently then if they didn't have this diffrence. Does that make sense? An example is when i got baptized when i was 16 my friends didn't talk to me anymore because they thought i was "diffrent" which was ridiculous.

See the good side of it. If they stopped talking to you because of such stupid reason, that's because they weren't true friends. Luckily, you found it out with something "trivial": it would've been a lot worse if you were in trouble and they had turned their back to you when you needed them the most :)

And sometimes you don't need to do something in order to be "the different one" :(

i thought exactly the same thing... if they can't handle my personal beliefs concerning religion that doesn't affect them at all, then sod off! and that's just what they did.

Well... I wouldn't be afraid if it were my real identity... in fact, I think it's time to tell:

I'm left-handed, vegetarian and lesbian! :D

Yes, I write with my left hand, I don't eat meat and I like girls...

So, say it: who are you all?!

you say you dont eat meat but munch on skin tacos, blood fajitas, and beef curtains, your story does not hold up!

It's all part of the trap mate, everyone is caught up in another form of homeostasis, call it whatever you like but most people don't like to stand out of the group. at least in the states fag/homo is common derogatory slang when making fun of people and thus is naturally associated with a negative stigma, before somebody even really knows what a "homo" is negative thoughts are attached to it so its only natural that some people take this "fear" of homosexuality to the extreme. I've personally been very good friends with many a gay person (however lame that sounds).... I'm not giving this topic any justice writing about it while being ed up cos basically im majorly offtopic...

in a sentences: If I was homosexual I would be fearful to be openly gay as I have seen the free-reign discrimination towards homosexuals. There is nothing they can do, the mob mentality is set against them, especially in school. It's sad really...

You know the secret?

hehe, it reminded me that I've never eaten a taco in my whole life :p

By the way: are vegetarians allowed to eat fishes and Chicken McNuggets? I eat sushi sometimes and once a year I eat Chicken McNuggets, but in this case, I don't think it could be considered meat :D

GUTTED! :D :D :D

being different is looked down upon, i don't really know why. but personally, i'm more comfortable being different from all the MTV and 'shampoo commercial' clones; especially rich kids ugh
