I wanna know what Toronto loves about trance.
What are some of your favorite all time and new tracks?
I love trance because it makes me feel so many different emotions at one time, it can make feel a state of euphoria and it sends me to new worlds. And its great to dance to!!! :tongue2

My favorite all time tune is:
Yahel - Open Your Mind (Magikal remake)

Favorite tunes ATM:
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes
2 Players vs Elizabeth Fields - Signet Sympathy
Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL remix)

I love the party scene and people in Toronto. As for the music I am pretty tired of it now after listening to it for about 8 years now because lets face it, it's pretty darn repetitive, but kicks ass when your high. I do enjoy listening to oakenfold mix madonna's new album though, and chicanes new album is even better.

So my top three would be:

Scorchio - Sasha and Emmerson
One Night in NYC - The horrist
Solstice -System F

I agree with your post, but there is one remedy for getting tired of trance...branching out to different genres. For example, if I get tired of the repetetive beats of trance, I go to a breaks party or crank up some DnB...or listen to some techno to get away from the power synths....next thing I know I'm craving the euphoric and anthemic sounds of trance! I can't imagine not listening to trance.

Too many good tracks to mention.

Did you only like the music because of the drugs?

I don't think I can ever grow tired of trance. Like the guy above me said, branch out and listen to other things as well. The same thing will happen with ANY TYPE OF MUSIC after listening to only that for a long period of time, broaden your horizon, etc etc..

Good point. I'm in the same boat because I've been addicted to trance for too many years now and have grown a bit tired of it. There was a time when I HAD to have the newest release immmediately. Now it seems like forever since I got a new trance track. I'm one of those people who just love just about every genre of electronica.

My first love will always be trance because that's what got me into the scene, but right now I just can't get enough of psy and goa. Sometimes I feel like breaks or techno, sometimes Dnb. There's just way too many great tunes out there. I'm even starting to warm up to ambient.:p

Yep, I love just about everything....except happy hardcore, cuz that just suck :p

i feel the same way - trance will always have a special place in my life because it's what introduced me to the electronic music scene. but i feel as if my tastes have progressed to other types of electronic music - i find that i enjoy a bit of everything now and then - progressive, techno, jungle and my current favourite, breaks. but in the end, i still enjoy and love trance. ;)

what do i love about trance?

the diversity of emotions and moods. you can throw on some nice soothing chill-out tunes while you're drifting off to sleep, or you can lay down a pounding set and be demolished by the bass and raw synths.

right now the new chicane album is sounding amazing.

I love everything about Trance...
It builds me up in a good mood.. but i dont like the ones that drag on too long. but i must admit i love house music equally and any good song with a wild rythem and a good build up rates as my top picks, since there are alot its hard to define my favourite...

one of my old favs from when i was a teen was a techno song .......

Opotheosis - O'Fortuna

man till this day that song still gets me all hyped up.....

The thing i love most about trance is the unity. Has anyone else ever noticed how there's nothing violent about it? and at party's, all people wanna do is dance and meet people. It's completely peaceful and gives you this amazing feeling. It gives me goosebumps on the hottest days. I could not imagine life without it :)
