Amen to that. Tranceport is always up there on my list; whether it's for best track list, best mixing, best whatever- Oakey may no longer get the respect from a lot of people, but anyone who can put out an album like Tranceport will forever be in the realm of "God" to me. |

| I will have to go with George Acosta- Awake the songs mix so well. |

u hav got to be kidding me. the mixing in nyana is almost as awful as ISOS3. everything before ISOS3 was good or average, but these 2 albums are a ing disgrace. |
no sir, i actually liked it.. like the switch from nothing -> forever waiting, or even better, the one from tears from the moon -> electronic malfunction.. |

Exactly. |

that would be Perfecto Presents Another World.. (the transition between Baby I'm gonna Leave you and Ubik the Dance is crazy !)
013 and 007 are great as well...

i gotta agree with everyone. the mixing in GU013 is amazing.
keys matching is perfect. each song works so well with the other AND is an awsome song which keeps the vibe alive and ever changing. starting off chilled and beautiful then going to the deep heavy and dark vibe of the bassline track and then picking you back up with the beauty of my lexicon into the techy and trancey vibe from orbital thru sander into the uplifting and ass kicking of amber. awsome stuff
GU 013 is in my opinion the best progressive trance album there is out there.
oh and i definatly gotta disagree about nyana.
i can't speak for teh first CD because i haven't really listened to it, but the mixing on the second CD is incredibly sub par. its got some good songs, but i don't think the progression in the album is too great. its just like a soup of anthems and good songs all floating around together.
i enjoy the CD but i think theres alot better stuff out there. |

i DON't care if this was mixed on computer, my suggestion is
pure euphoria - mixed by matt darey. the sampling, and production techniques used there bring the cd to a whole nother level!
but joof's cd have that great seemless sound. althought i prefer wle1 to no. 2. i was also v impressed with the gatecrasher digital and experience albums. |

I have to agree! Everytime i hear 'Nothing'(no matter what mix its on), after the breakdown it sounds as though I'm waiting for As One - Forever Waiting to come in. That was definitely a great transition. |

agreed. I'm actually pounding this mix right now. I alternate between wanting to throw my turntables in the garbage because i can never be as good as him, and wanting to get on the decks and practice forever so that i can! (but i never will anyway, the man is unreal)
omg, Xpander just came in.. wow, what a trippy song.
*JohnSmith goes and kisses his Xpander vinyl, and wishes he could mix it in and out as well as Sasha* |
