you should know why, its illegal .. and uses up alot of bandwidth if every1 decides to rip .. and it alos makes it look like we are providing sets to rip groups .. just this morning we recieved an email from some1 refusing to donate to us because he thought we were supplying sets to release groups etc .. ripping has very serious conciquences .. not to mention risking our licenses :( |

But can you really track it, i mean, its easy enough to record the sound passing through your soundcard, so how could you stop that? :/ |

| becoz most ppl who rip streams use streamripper, which is a second conn to the server, so duplicate ips can be killed off |

| there are plugins for winamp that use a passive wave dump to disk ... or you can just map a virtual soundcard and have directsound loop through that and then dump to disk... its a hat trick either way. Nige is just covering his ass.. if he said "yeah go ahead rip the S.O.B." then that would look really bad and could (possibly) get TAW's license revoked. :nervous: :nervous: Streamripping is analagous to recording a radio show using a tape deck =) That being said what happened to ronski speed? |

| True, They could rip without them knowing however, if they requested not to be ripped even if you did so, The least thing you could do is not share the rips at all and keep to yourself then. |
