The 3rd test finished yesterday and I am bewildered as to how England manage to bounce back from a 2nd test thrashing to win the 3rd.
It is quite remarkable really, I would have thought England would be totally devastated at the loss and would rather gift the other 3 tests to South Africa. But they have come out fighting and come to think of it, i dont think i have ever seen a team suffer a humiliating defeat and turn things round so quickly. Full credit
I was especially impressed by Kirtley and I think he will takes Gough's place as England's no1. His accuracy was close to perfect with every ball. He could do no wrong
Having said all that, does anyone think England have the strength to win the series or is it the same old same old one win wonders? |

Agree kirtley bowled out of his skin!
great result for england, though i thought
hussain should have been man of the match.
England called up martin bicknell and kabir ali,
bicknell hasnt played for england for 10 years, which
is far to long.
I hope Alec Stewart does well in his last 2 tests
for england!, a great batsman and keeper |

Yeh Stewart has been awesome for England without doubt. I'm really eager to see Ali bowl. He's already got 3 wickets in his first inngings in the 4th test and yesterday he got Kirsten trapped for Ibw.
Both Kirtley and Ali will be massive contributors to England in the future.
I gotta feeling England is gonna nick this test under South Africasd noses. |

England should have done better than they did,
they were in an excellent position on the first
morning 21-4, Bicknell was bowling straight and
kirtley and ali had the venom.
Kirsten for south africa was brilliant,
In the england 2nd innings we just gave our wickets
away with poor shots.
Only Butcher looked at ease, i think we have to leave
Edd Smith out for the last test, (A Bit harsh) but we
need to win, so i we need Graham Thorpe
back in the squad because he gives stability and is
experienced. |
