as the big dj's like Ferry, Tiesto, Armin, pvd, etc, are kinda disapointing nowadays and keep living from the fame from the past, i thought 2003 was being a really poor year in terms of livesets (not singles).. until i started to get into John '00' Fleming's music.. by getting 'White Label Euphoria Level 2'. That's surely the best compilation from this year so far IMO. Then, J00F made another two ing amazing sets - at ID&T Radio and Gods Global Gathering - that made me a new fan. He picks the finest in progressive, the finest in trance anthems that the other dj's are afraid to play, everything with a great dark atmosphere. Plus I always hated psy/goa, and j00f made me like a bit of it :D
Also, joof recordings are on fire this year, with AR52 - Hibernation/Timegate, Beetseekers - Walk of Notes, Digital Blonde - Gothica, Choci vs. Dirtsnob - Future Is (AR52 Remix).. one of the best labels at the moment too.
So, as I reckon he's getting a bit more popularity from other threads i've seen, this is the place for all j00f fans to post all the omfg non-sense :D |

| I still remember when I listen to GK Summer Trance CD1 that mixed by Mr. Fleming. When he use Yahel - U Inside to break the dark house and epic trance apart, the transition and flow is marvellous. I can't see any other djs' track selection that I like more than Fleming's. Deep, Tek, Dark, Uplifting, Melodic, Psy... He plays everything and everything he plays I like them... |

:conf: That's absolutely not true IMO. They're doing the same things that they've been doing for years. They all helped to innovate and renew the (trance) scene. And are still doing that.
John '00' Fleming is a great and underrated DJ though. Luckily he's been getting more and more attention and recognition lately, I think mainly because of his radioshow and sets that were broadcasted (and White Label Euphoria 2). Besides that he has a great label that releases quality tracks.
Great man, great DJ. Hope he'll keep on doing things like he does right now :) |
