I played piano for 14 years...then went to trumpet for 10...now that I'm back to a piano I decided to get a board for myself...and then have the extras to plug it into the pc and do some fun stuff....anyway, I feel that going from 88 keys to anything less just doesn't feel right. I couldn't convince myself to go with less. I tried several boards but I just ran out of space real fast...especially trying to play anything classical...or jazz.
So, I went with the low end pro/studio Alesis board. Course it was $800. Didn't have the bells and whistles of the Korg, or Rolland, but it serves it's simple purpose...plus some...so far so good.
As far as 200-300...some of the yamaha's look nice, but again...plastic, non-weighted keys...ewww.
good luck :D |
