Its true, and the fact that the United States didn't sign the Kyoto Agreement, essentially makes it useless, because we out consume everyone with regards to gasoline. :nervous: |

If the US destroys innocent peoples lives for oil and reconstruction contracts, brainwashes its people through the worst education/media system ever and bankrupts it self by massive over spending and terribly illegal business practices involving billions in tax evasion do u do it two?
I guess the answer is yes.........

Jellyfish rule. I remember one year here the sea was full of harmless large jellyfish. So people started playing with medusas instead of frizbies, balls and usual beach stuff. |

I am going to have to disagree on the education issue.. The system is flawed but it doesn't create a bunch of mindless dolts... Quite the contrary... |

Have u ever seen "this hour has 20mins" when a reporter interviews university students and there professors ?
If u have you would know what im talking about.
The kind of mindless dolts im talking about are the kind who have degrees in math/science/computers ect but really are nothing more than a group of sheeple/hoes/Clones and Muppets who dont really think for themselves and simply accept what 5+ hours of tv a day tell them. What im really talking about here has to do with the indoctrination or mentality that is formed when living in a specific society. |

So that is some people. You act as though that only happens in America? (just speculating.) You know Canadia aint perfect either pal.
Yes some ppl. are apolitical and allow themselves to be told what to believe. (happens EVERYWHERE) You will find most American's can think for themselves even if you don't agree with them. (And neither do I for the most part.) I find that most foreigners assumptions of the U.S. to be overly generalized and lacking in real experience in the country and with the people. As an American, you will never see me make an Anti-French statement. Because I know better than to believe all the bull that some politicians spew at me. Am I an exception, not really. |

My beef was with the stuff which supports the idiotic nature of things like the media and the Education system. These things are controlled by the government which is what i was talking about. Im not attempting to say AMERICA SUX or is stupid ect ect. It isnt. However there is in my view allot of "brainwashing" going on with concerns to the media and education system. U say Canada aint perfect either and i agree with u completely Canada follows suit with America on allot of things. Which sort of ties into my first post about following the leader to hell. |

I agree with this statement. I also agree with what you are saying about people believing what they are told to believe, which is wrong.
But with the education thing being wrong also. I don't agree with how you are saying it is wrong. I have lived in three different states, kindergarden through highschool, rich and poor schools, inner city and rual/suburban schools. While going to these schools i have noticed that the basis of what they teach is "Fact" and about thinking about things before making a judement. If i had not been taught to think through things, I prolly wouldn't have wanted to find out the truth and prolly not have even started this thread. Just think if there was nothing like that. Everyone would only follow the media. Kaos!

Ok, I can agree with this. There certainly is a lot of brainwashing going on in the media. The education system brainwashes to a point. I think in the Universities you will find it is more liberal and therefore more thought-provoking. At least at my school, professors have opened my eyes to things I have never noticed before both about American Society and how we view the rest of the world, which has significant flaws. So in the end yes, your statement above holds true in my eyes. :) |
