I got this from another forum, here's some info on it. I believe the original post describes a specific network on WASTE. I haven't even read through it yet, just wanted to give you all a heads-up
AFAIK, I think you can start your own 'hub' for it. Like I said, I'm an idiot and haven't read the links yet but it sounds interesting. |

W.A.S.T.E. is a de-centralized filesharing network created by justin frankel of Nullsoft. It was his last piece of work before he quit nullsoft due to creative differences with management. (they pulled the plug on this and gnutella for him). In all honesty it sucks, it works something along the lines of a chat program. You add all your "buddies" and they act as gateways to the rest of the network, in the end there is just far too much cross-talk for it to serve as an efficient protocol (although everything is encrypted).
