Well, never had a problem with XP pro, so as far as a home pc OS goes, XP gets my tick of approval.

And after studying linux for roughly a year now, i can say I hate it :D

Havent tried Mac OSX yet...

I run Windows XP. Other than a million scripts on IE6 ing up, I've had no real problems with it.

I liked Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 seemed quite ahead of it's time for it's August 1995 release date, I ran it for nearly 4 years on my old computer and had no real problems, after installing WIndows 98 on it however, things really started to mess up although I think it was a case of the computer being too slow and old for it. Millenium Edition is what I had on this computer before XP, and it's the one that I've had the most trouble with. At one point I would almost randomly get a blue screen just before Windows would boot up and I had to reboot down to trial and error.

has anyone used Windows NT 3.51? I found it to be very stable.

98 is bad
ME is even worse
2k quite ok
XP works almost perfect.

Have had a couple of versions of Win NT at work, but hard to judge the OS there, coz the computers are so ty.

Someday I'll learn Linux properly..
smh
Been using Win XP Pro for about 3 weeks now and no problems at all!

ohhh you lucky bastard...

funniest windows bug has to be the bug in ALL win 95 (and 98 i think..) versions, it restart efter 39.5 days (or something like that...), doesn't mather what you do... that's not a big problem though almost all windows computers crash before that of some other reason... it took like 3-4 years before someone discovered the bug.. LOL

nowadays i'm @ linux and that's the best thing i have done in my life... the more you learn about it, the more you love it! :D

i have no interesting stories, because i'm on win2k pro and it's really stable. when i switched from win98 i seriously thought "Oh my god, i can leave my computer on for longer than 24 hours and STILL be able to open programs without any errors!!!"

2k pro forever! (until i download mandrake 9.1 :D)

yeah, my IBM bios does the same thing - if I disconnect the keyboard it'll say on boot "keyboard device not connected. press ESC to continue or F1 to enter setup".... maybe someday i'll take a pic of it

id like to thank all the little people who downloaded stuff on my computer and opening emails allowing viruses to run rampant on my computer over the years. their hardwork and dedication to stupidity made it possible for me to blow tons of cash and manhours into this little magic box.shout out to my boss for uploading programs with incompatible software, then leaving the computer that way for me to find the next day.and of course thanks to my homeboy big J for not relizing that if you hold down ctrl alt del for 5 minutes straight there is a good chance you WILL crash the hardrive.and of course big ups to bill gates, for making software more shakier then micheal j fox on roller skates.thank you!

*thunderous applause*

GIVE TRANCE A CHANCE....

All I have to say to you is...
