Why does it tell me that I have to have a registered nickname to use the chatrooms when I'm already logged into TA, click on the "there are so many users in the TA Chatroom", let it load, it does it's thing... but doesn't put me in a chatromo and tells me I need a registered nickname.
Anyone? |

I think what it is saying is that you need aregistered nickname with the "nickserv" on the IRC server. I don't know how to do this in the web based chatroom dealie cause it does nto work with my browser, but I would recommend getting mIrc (if you are on a pc) and follow the directions in the chatroom sticky thread in the how to...(too lazy to add the link in, sorry).
Use the instructions to set up the connection, then when you connect type this into the input line (minus the " marks) "/msg nickserv register password validemail" password is whatever you want your password to be, and make sure you type in a valid email address cause the server sends you some kind of wacky authentication email and a code to cut and paste in.... Once you have gotten your registration of your nickname all squared away, everytime you connect to the IRC server type "/msg nickserv identify password" and it will say something like password accepted you are now identified. Then it is a simple "/join #tranceaddict" and you are good to go.
If you are not a PC user, I know of a couple of good IRC programs for the mac (which I use) and can give you that info if you need it.
I hope this helped.
