V-Station, Anyone Use This Too?

I'm using V-station with Logic Audio and everytime i replay my song, the instrument that I've chosen on my V-Station resets itself back to the very 1st instrument.

With this softsynth do I have to save the instrument i've picked on the V-Station somewhere, or will I have to save it somewhere in logic?

With my other softsynths all I have to do is save my song in Logic and the instrument i have chosen stays saved also.

I don't know why it goes back to the first sound everytime.

I hope someone can help.
..Thanks..

V-Station has a lot of drawbacks. I've never experienced the problem you're having but the actual sounds that come out of it aren't that great IMO. The filters to me suck, no warmth in them, and I've never seen a more disorganized preset bank.

Could it be logic and not v-station. Maybe (I use cubase so bare with me), the midi channel assigned to v-station has bank A, preset 1 selected so everytime you play this channel in logic, it selects the first patch in v-station. Other than that, I can't help.

I get the same problem with Cubase SX and my Virus C sometimes. It's very frustrating I know. Especially when it changes for no reason while recording.

I use V-station + cubase and I've got no problems at all, works perfect :)

although I don't think the sound frm it sucks...it's perfect for basslines and it works for almost anything in the synthline too :)

i think they released another updated version that fixes this Logic compatibility bug. Check-out www.kvr-vst.com cuz i think it was where i hav read something like that

I have an Evolution MK-249C midi controller and I notice that when I have a pedal plugged in the back the keyboard keeps resending program info to the sequencer every couple of minutes. This will reset the V-Station to that particular preset. My solution was to not use the pedal while using V-Station / change Cubase so it filtered-out Program change commands.

havent had any problems with it using FL STUDIO 4.12
sounds like a problem with logic.

make sure your using the latest version of v-station
1.20

I have that same problem in SX, but it only happens on channel 1 for some reason....all other channels are fine. The V-Station is awesome for trance too, you can get the basslines to sound good, thats something I usually have a problem with on other synths.

I have the same problemin fruity. The only way I can save presets is as a .fst file. But in cubase it works fine.

My guess is that its the software you need to get a script file to log the samples you use, also if you really want to save some money and fix the prob. Holla at me in my email and i can get you the Vst version of the vstation, for a discount price and you can return the synth or sell it and save some money. the vst version is the exact same thing, but its in the computer so you never loose the settings and its just as good.
