my current b-side to nexus - next

great track, but i need opinions on my new slow breaks style :)

nexus - next (found atlantis downtempo mix)

its 96kbps, so its moderate quality for both high speed and dialup users :)

great idea :)

turned out quite well too, one or two things in my opinion need to get addressed.

first of all - is there a bassline? you could do with a big fat slow bassline to compliment the beat., i can only hear the two synths.

second, the beats are working really well, but they still have a very 'trance' sound to them, you should try and get that down-tempo sound on the kick drums, i tried something similar and i set up a chain on the drums, applied just to the kick; Compressor with a slow attack and a medium threshold - Reverb (small room) - and the compressor again, with the same settings as before, try it out :) but JUST on the kick ;)

love it though, keep me posted :D

yes!

my first semi satisfied customer, that sounds kinda sexual :p

as for the beats, i just raped them in wootyloops

i didnt concentrate much on the bassline, since i ing suck at them, so it the track is kinda drum n lead lol

i might go back to finishing my flutlicht project, i kinda started and got lazy
burns
Kool, The Bass Drum added on 0:19 kinda dioesnt fit, maybee decrease the decay to get it a little sharper.

Track Sounds very Trancey, never actually heard trancey downtempo, hehe.

The track on a whole sounds pretty empty, some pads would sound kool maybee some effects as they is none, pads can add real atmosphere and that's what the heart of a good downtempo tune needs.

Interesting listen, keep it up !

yes, i added the bass kick to make the drums a little thicker, the funky d-loop i had going, just wasnt gunna cut it

i would add much fx but this entire track was done on a 233 machine, imagine the amount of cpu i needed...
