St. Louis - Am I Alone?

I've been a fan of techno/trance/progressive/etc. for a while now, but living in the St. Louis area, I haven't really heard of any clubs that play it on a regular basis (though I know The Oz in Sauget, IL has the Sunday Night Ritual...but I've rarely heard any really good stuff from that). Around here, most of the clubs I've been to are either country or hip-hop.
Anybody here know of any places around the metro area? Or am I a lone St. Louisan Tranceaddict? :) |

Hey I'm a TA. Been reading the boards for about 4 years now. Don't post much. I live down in Springfield, MO. Only trance I get down here is in my bedroom with me spinning. =)

Haha, same here. I've managed to rub off on my friends though...most of them like it now, too. But not nearly as much as I do. But still...we're stuck in an area where there is absolutely no scene.
Oh well, Chicago's only 4 hours north. :eyespop: |

Yeah, there's nothing down in Carbondale but bars. :D
A few of my friends are down there...plenty of parties and women to make up for the lack of other stuff to do. :) |

I live in K.C., and I used to take occasional trips to that bar. It's very good. Or how about Rue or Lo? Again, very good bars, great progressive/tech-house djs playing at both (and some d&b as well). Both are smaller and more intimate than Velvet, as well as a little less cheese involved, which is nice. To Velvet's credit, however, Danny Howells is coming in October. Hope that helps. |

hey some fellow st. louisans/missourians
actually i dont live there anymore, i know live in LA for school, but thats where i grew up.
as mr. opus said, velvet really is the place to go for good prog/house/trance in st. louis
i remember checking their site just the other day and i saw danny howells was coming in soon. should be an awsome show. i wish i were back home to see him. scene here in LA has been pretty dry lately.
lee burridge came in tonite, but i wasn't able to go which sucks. |

i wanna go to that so badly.
danny howells came to LA when i was at home in st. louis
now i'm back in LA and he's coming to st. louis
that should be one hell of an awsome show |
