How do i go about pluggin in a 3rd HD? Ive got 2, 120GB HD's inside right now, but i want to put in a 40GB hard drive. The only problem is i have two occupying CD drives, making a total of 4 drives in the computer (2HD, 2CD).

Is there a possibility of putting in another hard drive or am i out of luck? :conf:

Thanks:D

Not sure, but I can say that if all goes wrong, you can still get a PCI IDE adaptor.

You can buy an external hard drive that you plug into a USB port on the PC.

or buy a RAID card

Unless your motherboard has onboard raid, you will need to get a pci IDE or RAID adapter, though for just one additional harddrive theres no need to get a RAID adapter. a external USB drive is a alternative, only if your motherboard supports USB 2, if its only USB1 then the data trasfer rates will be slow.

Or an external FireWire case is an option if you have ports. Some older PC's had FireWire but not USB2.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have USB2 and a firewire card but im not planning to put in the 40GB HD because its really loud compared to my 2 existing HD's inside.

You can plug as many HDs as u want but u need an IDE card to do so, buy it and just plug it abd thats it :)
