Problem with using Vst Synths

I downloaded some of the vst synths that were shown on the forum and they sound good but the problem i have is that when using fruity all the synths hold a sustained note after the inital notes are played.
This is very annoying as i can not start the baseline and then cut to silence. If anyone knows how to confiqure it. I'm using fruity wrapper with the synths also i'm using the patterns to input the notes.
If anyone could help i would be very grateful

| Um, this may be stating the obvious, but you're using the PIANO ROLL, right? Not the regular clickable steps? |
