Alcohol Problem

Here's the story: When I started drinking, I only had hard alcohol and coolers. I drank these things for the longest time, until recently, I gained a liking to beer.
I have been drinking (to the point of extreme drunkeness) at least 2x a week this summer. For the ladder half of the summer, I was only drinking beer.
In the past 2 weeks I have tried to drink hard alcohol, mixed drinks, and coolers but my stomach gets SICK before I even get a buzz. This is not a one time occurance, it has happend everytime I tried to drink liquer or coolers recently. But I drank beer a few nights ago, got drunk off that and had no problems with my stomach!
So what do I do guys? I like the feeling hard alcohol gives me, but I can't seem to drink it anymore? What's the problem? |

well what type of hard liquor are you drinking?
are you driking popov vodka or grey goose vodka?
cuz what brand you have will make a difference.
alot of people's aversion to hard liquor is all in their heads. they tell themselves that the stuff sucks or they think about that one time where they drank rum all nite and threw up and felt horrible for the next day. |

yeh, after bad experience with hard drinks, i cant seem to stomach most hard stuff anymore.
i had a shot of rum and was nearly being sick, i dont think i stand much of a chance of loosing this new habit, because i got arrested (after mixin loads of spirits) and am 15, and it was a bad experience so i think its built in my head not to repeat them spiritis again  |

drink jimmy's (jim beam + cola), that is the brothers.
getting pissed on spirits is a hell of a lot better than getting pissed off beer i can tell you that!

Ever since I drank three bottles of Bull Blood, I just can't touch red wine anymore. I cant even eat a meal that's got some red wine in it!
I was at a mate's 18th, and it was a free bar so naturally I took the greatest advantage of the situation, and drank like a fish.
I was so battered I couldn't talk or walk or anything. Another mate ended up carrying me home, where I proceeded to throw up all over my bedroom and bathroom. The walls, carpets, doors and furniture were absolutely covered in red sick!
I spent the next few days re-decorating my room and soaking the carpet in the bath to get it clean!! Never again!
So I know from personal experience that if you go through a bit of a drinking experience with a certain drink, you kind of gain an allergic reaction to it almost! Dont go near the hard stuff for a while, and when you do, only drink it in moderation alongside beer. Make sure you have lots of water to drink before you go to bed, that kind of stops the hangover.
Oh yeah, and eat something first!!! |

well, as the local alcoholic, I can tell you that your drinking of beer probably makes you consume the Hard A too quickly. You are ALSO probably mixing it with caffeinated and high sugar mixers. A sugar shock will give you a TERRIBLE stomach ache. try drinking 3 sodas when you wake up, youll want to die. the caffeine doesnt help. I suggest trying something like natural orange juice, not that store bought stuff. do that a couple of times and see if it is indeed the mixers or the alcohol...or just drink some shots and then chase them with half a glass of water.
you really got to narrow it to the point where you can pinpoint the problem. does vodka hurt less than a mudslide, brandy over gin...you get the point. |

Well when I tried drinking the coolers and hard alcohol it was by themselves.
For example on friday I tried only drinking rum and coke, that made me sick before buzz.
A few days before I tried only drinking vodka, that made me sick before buzz.
A week ago I tried only drinking rev, that made me sick before buzz. |

try chasing it with 6-8 oz of water. i dunno if you are eating. and if after that... i think your body is probably tellin you that it just doenst like it.
btw, does the sick go away AFTER the buzz? cuz then you should do what I do, and pour 10-12 shots of vodka into a glass and pound it |
