Yeah, it gets a little confusing when you're new and you jump straight into the deep end. My advice would be to do a search for "Favourite Tunes" or something similar, then take a look at the (endless) search results you'll get. Find a huge f*ck-off list, and listen to the tracks on there. Thats a start.
There are also loads of sub genres, so if you download some stuff and find you dont like it, dont give up, chances are it's just that particular style you dont like, but there are many kewl ones!!
