Hey ppl this is my first post, I am a starting producer and at the begining I wanted to produce trance music, what I am more interested in is making is danceable music, not abiding to the any labeling structure just making it good for dancing. Now this comes out because since I've started I feel that I can't really label my tracks and that's how I'm interested in staying. Any feedback welcomed (hehe don't flame me please LOL :D )

What is it that you want, exactly?
Cuervo79

Good bassdrum good bassline good melody. Infact good everything and it will be danceable. Really you can dance to anything with a beat.

So i suppose the main ingredient for dance is a killer beat and bass.

I'd say use that only as a basis, then expand it with more complex bassline (or better yet, 2-3 different basses on top of that) and other percs. Your tracks will sound very dull with that pattern as it's the most basic pattern there is.

thanx... hey I can't point my finger still when ppl talk about bass lines, since I've started experimenting basslines are still out of my reach... any examples?
