Connection Sharing!

| I have two machines, 1 runnning Me, the other xp. The Me on is nearest the phone sockets and I have been trying for ages to have my XP machine connect through it via the network. 'Why?' you may ask. Well this is due to the distance my XP machin is away from the phone socket and Me machine. I have to use phone extension cable and its because of this I am not connecting at speeds of over 33kbps. I am also preparing for when sat BB (fingers crossed) goes online in my area next month. Anyway I install connection sharing on both machines. The Me machine stops being able to connect to the internet and this obviously prevents the XP machine connecting through it. Has anyone tried this setup and managed to get it working? If so lemme know how cos I am at a loss :conf: |

I've done it the other way around....
XP with the internet acces and ME connects via the XP machine.
Works better that way, I believe...
I'll have to get back to you on this one... |

Routers are for broadband, which I unfortunately do not have yet. So i am gonna have to settle with sharing the internet connection this way :) |
