Hmm I don't know how to start...
At first: Well done mate. ;) Reminds me on Ulrich Schnauss.
The title fits perfectly to the track .
"A swim with the fishes" - when I hear this senctence, I think about a relaxing, sunny day at the beach somewhere in the Carribean and a bath in the blue cold water where I can watch the gorgeous fishes swimming.
In my opinion, your track exudes exactly these thoughts, it's very relaxing and soothing, great melody and breaks.
Very emotional track, I really appreciate this production.
Keep it up.

TranceEuphoria.. and Sirocco: I don't know what to say! To say I'm flattered would be a huge gross understatement!! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement - you made my day!

| Hey, not bad at all... However, since all the applauds have been heard, here are some suggestions: the bass line you are using is very pronaunced, so it's nice to drop it some times or make it simplier. Like in your case, I'd shorten bass line to a very simple like to 2-3 notes of the end of it, then dropped it totally (and you did it!) and brought it back. And the main melody at some point could be sorta played on piano (or any shorter sounds), like when you have 2 min left and go into pads... and then hold the pad thingy longer (i think everybody likes soft drops with a li'll piano in them). Cause you ending almost feels like DJ mixing into the next tune. I don't intend to impose my opinion, just sharing my thoughts. I too, produce and go through the pain of composing decisions. Your track sounds very good. |

| Very innovative, excellent track. Reminded me of a cross between Petter and Ulrich Schnauss.. which is a good thing. :D |

wow!!
house and breaks - what a match made in heaven, i'd never really thought of this before. I love that bassline, goes so well with the beats - which have a really nice warm sound to them. I'm going to play this track a lot i think. really inspirational, although everytime i try and make something funky and laid back it turns out techy :p
keep up the excellent work - i hope to hear some more of your stuff, maybe even buy some :D |

Lunar People: I really appreciate you taking the time to outline some constructive criticism - points like those above point me in the right direction, and give me ideas for use in new productions! Thank you.
Thanks to JMF and MK-S for the positive feedback! |

After listening to it a few times, this track has really grown on me, if though I'm nota huge fan of house. I thought the intro was abit slow and light at first but after listening to the whole track its fine.
I enjoyed the part around 4:50 where the tune really comes out! Great stuff :) |

great chill out tune dude. really enjoyed it. great melody and basssline. sort of a Sasha feel with the atmosphere. i love this tune!!!
everything is in the place they should be. structure of the song doesnt get old through it. that bassline is funky(good funky). the melody is spot on with the "Swim with the Fishes" title. you have got a real beautiful tune:D:D:D |

Wow - I don't know why I didn't Download this song long ago! This is DEFINETLY something out of the ordinary! HOUSE AND BREAKS?!?!? I love those snares! OMG! That break beat is nice - nice hats, and crispy sounds.
And the bassline - the bassline OWNS! You can feel it within - it's so damned emotional!
And those light synths in the back, that go off every 4 measures - nice!
That part at 2:49 - the melody was a bit awkward for me - I was trying to learn, and adjust to it - but it added a different element to the song - so it wasn't that bad. Then the pads after that little melody were beautiful.
Later on in the song around the 5 min area - those synths sounded so 80's! LOVE IT! :happy2: :happy2:
This is an interesting piece of work! Keep it up! |
