Alright, enough.
Van Dyk and Tiesto have been playing the same tracks
for the last 6 months. It's good and I love those guys but come on, a lot of it is getting old.
I'm looking for some fresh new music, especially something
that's house or progressive. Something that doesn't have
10 breakdowns every track.
:D
A good example of what I'm looking for is Sander Kleinenberg. His stuff is always fresh and awesome.
cheers

| Ok, it's easy to slag a dj because they play similar stuff, but what do you want? EVERY set they have to be something different and completely knew? Pfffffff. Not going to happen, that is really hard to do, also they have to meet the demands of the crowd as well. Instead of listening to one style of music and then complaining about how it's the same, listen to some VARIETY. Throw in some breaks or some Drum and bass or progressive house/ trance into your mp3 player, then when you come back to trance you won't find it so "old". ;) |

| I'm sorry man but those guys own tens of thousands of records, don't tell me they can only play the same 30 songs all damn year. :p |

| Of course, they don't have to play those same 30 records. They throw in new stuff, I'd say about 3 or 4 in each set. If you want it to be ALL new then go listen to another dj who does that. LIke the "lesser known" ones, or listen to another genre altogether until you get sick of it. If I listened to prog or trance or breaks NONstop I would get suck of it and complain the same way that you guys are doing, it's natural and it happens to me, I listen to experimental electronic music sometimes whenever I get sick of trance, or DnB. |

A comedian will use the exact same routine for 60 shows in a row. One person is not supposed to see every single show. It's the same with DJs, you are not supposed to hear every single set of theirs.
When I go and see a DJ live, I would rather they played brilliant tracks that they have played in the last 10 sets (none of which I would have heard anyway), than play ordinary tracks just because they are brand new and first plays.
It's a DJs job to play for the paying crowd in a club. The clubbers might only see him 1, 2 or 3 times in a year, so each time they get a totally new set anyway. It's not a DJs job to satisfy people in the internet who download a new set of his every 2 weeks, and dont pay him a thing. |

I'm not saying his sets should be completely different each time.
I am saying that dj's like van dyk should switch it up at least once every other month, or at least not play certain tracks to death. 8 months of nothing but you 20 times a set is ing rediculous. it's a great track but he ruined it for me by playing it 10 times every time i've seen him. now he's ruining time of our lives by overplaying it too :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
