Clubs in Liverpool

Does anyone know anything about the trance scene there, any pubs/clubs I should check out?
I'm off to start Uni at John Moores in 10 days time so I'd like to know where to go in freshers week.

| Im not sure about the trance scene since Cream has closed but the pubs and clubs in Liverpool are excellent, loads of night life and drinks promos on offer.My mate has been at Uni in Liverpool for 3 years now and he is having a ball. |

there is a monthly trance night called Generate,
there is a fortnightly prog/tech night called Aztec
a monthly house night called Circus
a monthly 'weird house' night called Chubuku Shake Shake
plus loads of over little nights all around such as monkey business and cookie dough.
then you have the scouse house places which operate weekly

once you get to Liverpool there are flyers everywhere!! plus if you want something less 'house' Manchester is a 40 minute train ride away where you can go to Vision or Goodgreef, plus Tangled :D |

Thanks, it sounds pretty good. I'll have a look at Manchester as well.
I was hoping to get a ticket for the Everton game as Newcastle's next game is there. No luck unfortunately :( The Liverpool/Newcastle game at Anfield is right at the end of the season. |

Good thread.
My girlfriend is going to John Moore's and Im going to Manchester Uni. So I'l be at her place at the weekend quite often. As a result I'l probably be going out into Liverpool a few times so I want to know where to drag her :D Can't be doing with Radio City/Lee Butler type nites every time I have to go out with her, I get enough of that stuff with the "famous" Wigan Pier :nervous: |
