Wet 'n' Hard

I was reading this months Ministry mag. and noticed the term wet & hard about 20 times. It says its a term invented by Corvin Dalek and is apparently the sound being championed by Timo Maas, but i dunno. Can anyone enlighten me to wtf this is. If you wish to hear this wet&hard sound some of the tracks i've noticed are :
Corvin Dalek - pornoground
Monoboy - the nusic is you(oliver klein wet'n'hard mix)
Johan Gielen - velvet moods

| I have Johan Gielen - Velvet Moods and it doesnt make me either wet or hard...so I guess I cant help you there. |

| maybe this term refers to "acid" sounds......I'm not really sure on how to explain that but if you listen to DJ Remy at innercity he plays the "Mr. Sam's acid pornstar remix" of Pornoground. :) |

| i think wet and dry...means the beat.....if its a Wet beats its more of a rounder and faded beat...if its Dry its more of a crisper and high snary beat....thats what i understood from wet & dry...so may it has a Wet Beat thats really HARD in the Kicks on beat beat |

some time ago he turned with 10 turntables ( worldrecord ) , although he tried to use 12 but it didn't work out so good , but with his record of 10 he created some new sounds with lot of sounds , you know and so he created a new genre wet 'n hard !!! it also comes from techno !! he used to be a techno dj but he loved trance 2 !! so that's another reasen why he thought to try to make a mix of those 2 !! so wet stands for chill ( trance ) and hard -> with a techno beat you know !!! so at the end he gave it the name wet 'n hard

| You really have to see Mr Dalek live to understand it. I didn't have a clue what it meant until I heard him live in Glasgow. He came back a few months ago and it just reitterated what I thought the first time, he is one of the best DJ's out there! And when he wears his glasses he looks like Judge Jules, but then you hear the good mixing and realise it can't be the judge (joke :p ) |
