What MP3 encoder do you use?

hey everyone, I'm just interested in knowing what types of Mp3 encoders people use to retain the best possibile quality from their .wav files, while still sticking to the standard 192 kbps bitrate. :conf:
I've been encoding mp3's for a while now using CooleditPro, which uses the mp3PRO codec (from Fraunhoffer lls and thompson multimedia)
and have just recently noticed what a complete and utter nut i was for encoding all my .wav files using the "fast codec" option instead of the "high quality codec" option :rolleyes:

Fortunatly tho, in terms of sample and sound quality, all my tracks sound really in good now :D so i'm wondering what type of encoder you use, have used, think is etc, as i think it's a key issue in determining the sound quality of a track. |

If it's not LAME, it's lame.
Using the latest LAME codec (forgot the version number) with RazorLame front-end, settings at " -b 192 -m j -c --lowpass 19.5 -q 0". |

But yes, totally correct, the latest lame is the way to go. --alt preset standard tho. |

| fraunhofer is really really not good in comparison with LAME...LAME gives a much better quality than fraunhofer so go for lame :) |
