you guys seem to have missed my recent post in the ukta night thread :p
this is the current score:
i may have somewhere arranged for november/december in nottingham courtesy of spike_boy, who is also getting a night started for nowt... but as he has to have a succesful night there himself we have to wait til october to be able to get the club :) then if his night went well he will be able to book the club for us.
the club is 400 capacity, has 2 rooms so there is maybe oppertunity for more dj's to be playing. i was thinking one room start of kinda proggy and get to big trance at the end, and the other to start reasonably pumpin and end up harder. i.e. a trance room and a hard room..
thats if we get both rooms, im not 100% sure what the score is with that, but im sure we will find out on october ;)
so basically we are looking at late november - december. |

not entirely true. there are 2 universities, and where there are universities there are people who want to stay up all night listening to good music. if we get the promotion right then all will be good. and we are not just trying to get ppl from nottingham there, if we flyer sheffield and leicester as well as anywhere else ppl can get to easily that is worth while flyering, then i dont think we will have a problem getting people in.

| Can i just say, when I was arranging to go to the German TA night, they were having it at a house with a shed load of alchohol and chems, and basically getting on with it. They saw it as getting a place to just get everyone together for the night, play wicked tunes and having a bonding sesh. And bearing in mind Germany is bigger than us here, they still had no problems getting everyone together. Why can't we just get our arses together for a sodding night and get on with it (or in the meantime). Maybe what we're trying for is a bit too ambitious atm. But thats just my opinion. I know all really :haha: |

Yea i agree .. which also means that you dont have to worry about promoting the night if u want to keep it a pure ukta event with no outsiders ..

| if you ask you can get both rooms, the problem is, the club is used every friday and saturday, so if you use the club that i am using ya will have to have it on a thurs or sumats |

| having it on a thursday night seems a bit silly to me and will end up probably as much of a success as the last failures. i thought the idea was at least gonna have it on a friday or a saturday so that nobody was at work / college / uni and everybody could make it or at least most could. |
