| Is wierd, sometimes i get the MTV 2 signal, then is back to the same old MTV, does MTV 2 really shows trance videos ? |

| hey guys, don't mistake me for being a racist. i'm not! i'm just wondering about what your views are in this subject. but i myself also think that racism is a waste of time. i was just asking. but i'm glad that there are people out there who don't let nationalities and colour to dictate what should be done and what shouldn't be. |

when i used to live in Morocco we had a satellite dish , and we could receive MTV , MTV2 , Viva , Viva 2 (Zwei) , TMF etc ... :)
let's return to the subject of this thread . Racism sucks of course , and it's really stupid to say that black people should listen to rap and white people to trance or i don't know . Music is for everybody , and you are free to choose the type of music you want to listen to , nobody should stops you . That's all i wanted to say ... |

hehe the satellite dish seems to be the Moroccan gadget :),back here you can defenitly pick out the appartements where lives a maroccan family,you practically always see a dish hangin out :)
but now about the topic,what I forgot was that those pre-judgments exists about white poeple should listen to trance and black peepople to rap,because of their roots,black people where the first to bring out rap and stuff and tranec was born in a white culture,just like every one expects a cowboy to listen to countrymusic and Austrians to classic music:) |

Au Maroc on est 30 millions d'habitants , et on a 1 million d'antennes paraboliques (satelitte dishes) , tu en trouves meme dans les bidons-villes :D |

quite a subject this is isn't it?!
my view is that people should not be encouraged into listening to certain types of music just because of their race or religeon. instead they should be allowed to make the choice for themselves. however, the TENDANCY is that people of different races (if there is such thing) or religeons will listen to certain types of music. this is because people of similar ethnic backgrounds tend to group together, therefore have similar interests.
i believe that given another 30-40 years, there will be a greater distribution of ethnic groups (contributing to the concept of one 'human race') and people will make their own decisions to what music they want to listen to.
hope that makes sense
(i should be doing sociology not sport science!)

| Racism sux...and people should be able to listen to whatever they like regardless of color, age, sex, etc. Actually, if it wasn't for black people, we would all probably still be listening to polka and river dance. Black people created rock'n'roll and rap and dance and jazz. If it weren't for these forms of music being created, trance probably wouldn't have been created either. And who created trance? Do we know for sure? I'm just saying: music has no racial color or whatever, its just music and everybody should enjoy it! |
