what tools or software do you usually use to remix a track?

can you just use reason 2.0
and thats it?

it depends how you want remix it! <--true

but what is the stantard tools you would need to do minior change to a song, such has add in your own bassline, extra syth etc.

cheers

markus schultz uses pro tools for his remixes. also, take a look at acid pro.

Rob, reason probably isn't the best for remixing tracks. That's not to say that it can't be done. It can be done very well, but something with a more open sequencer interface like cubase or acid pro might be easier for you. It all really depends if you want to work with audio or midi.

Reason is fine if you're remixing with MIDI but it doesn't handle audio (esp. long wave files) too well...

Yes, that is what I was trying to say.

Just putting ur own bassline and stuff like that in isnt remixing.
If u wanna remix a tune just do whatever u would do if ur making an original tune except use the melody out of whatever ur remixing (and i dont mean sample it).

I use Fl studio 4 to produce and remix tracks. Maybe I'll someday buy reason 2..
