RIAA - Recording Industry Association of America, they are behind Napster shutting down and the pressure on Kazaa to do the same. I just think they're going after the "larger" file sharing software groups.

Isn't Kazaa larger then SoulSeek ?
Endlesswave
Yes, yes it is. (I think)
NuERA
yeah i dont think that soulseek is really lareg enough to be a target (but who knows). it could just be another case of soulseek being down for a few days. its happened before.

but kazaa is having some problems as well

has anyone noticed that many songs that you download now have this beeping noise in them every 30 seconds or so? I figure this is to stop people from burning music cd's from Mp3

Soul Seek is fine guys,
There is a patch you have to run and then re-boot your computer.
I have the link at home, I will try and post it on here when I go home for lunch.

that beeping may have been added to stop pirarting. cause i know a while back, the riaa was introducing technology that created "beeps" in the music when it was ripped or played on a computer. Some cds actually say, not for use in computers. THe one i know of was ATB's Dedicated. Said it on the back.

i guess the riaa finally introduced it.
