Before I say anything, this is a serious post and I know there will be that one person to flame or something so before hand dont bother posting..

Anyways about 6months ago me and this girl broke up due to her parents finding out about us. We went for one year , so realizing that I couldnt talk to her or ever see her again didnt kick in until after about a month of breaking up. Anyways long story short its been 6months and yet to this day I think about her constantly, anything I do shes always in my head. That isnt that bad but I will even dream about her which is the worst thing cause I wake up and cant seem to go back to sleep..The dreams still happen about 3 times a week to this day..Thing is what have you guys done to get over someone that ment alot to you, I mean someone who was your life basically?

Anyways thanks in advance.

either someone on these boards doesn't know how to deal with a girl, or there are some sort of psycho parents involved :D

anyway, dude
her parents. if you went out with this girl for a year or so before her psycho parents found out, andeverythign was cool with her, and you can't stop thinking about her, then it appears as if she must have genuine feels for your so try to keep relations up with her.

contact her and go out with her. see what she will do. if she was with you for a whole year, i'm sure she's not too fond of her parent's control over her.

fight the machine.
go out with her and have a good time.

To advance like in life.. you have to take a step... a step forward, is a step into something new, the unknown, if you take a step back, then you are on common ground, like your past, you know wat has happend and all...

So the trick is to take a step forward, no matter how big or small, but take it... and how?

BY DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!!

That takes you to unconquered territory.. you will be so caught up on new that you will soon forget about her.. im not saying not to LOVE anyone that comes along your path.. is that you have choices to make, and that each choice takes you to a new path...

Get on the bus... where do you usually sit? @ the back? try the middle... do you walk to park.. try running..

Ever read a book.... OUTSIDE???? @ THE PARK????

Get my drift.. doing new things will help you overcome this... slowly but surely...

BTW ^^ this advice is if you want to stop it all together.. if you want it to continue, then you must work things out with her...

why didnt her parents like you?

i think time is the only healer. that, and replacing her with someone else or other things. you can keep yourself busy and preoccupied so you dont think about her but eventually you have to take a break and you wont be able to get her out of your head.

Did you think maybe you're gay and you don't really need this relationship?...

Go look for her again till you get resolution to me it sounds like there was no real ending to your relationship, so get together with this girl again, see how she's doing and end it already, 2 things happened, she has super psycho parents, or she didn't really cared too much to fight for you... do it already...

She is right....give it time.

In college I went through a phase about 6 months after my ex and I split up that was pretty rough. Thought about her all the time, couldn't sleep. all that jazz. After a while I just decided there was nothing I could do about it and needed to stop tortring myself with it and pretty much stopped thinking about her all the time.

Give it time my good man, give it time.
