'the usual suspects', probably my all-time favorite for it's plot, dialogue, direction, cast, seamy topic, blackness

my pants only have a few quarters in them and I desperately want to see both:
Danny Boyle's Sunshine.
(and here i was thinking Fox Searchlight was only going to be a cheap trick churning out splatter/gore/snuff films)
and The Simpson's Movie.
Going to watch Sunshine later tonight. :)

Sunshine is pure eye candy..one of the better movies I've seen this year. I really enjoyed Death Proof - Luckily the movie was released in its extended version in Europe (including the awesome Lad Dance scene!) since Tarantino/Rodriguez apparently learned from the mistake of combining both "Grindhouse" movies and instead realese them seperately here.

Can you please provide some more commentary on this flick?

Why should I spoil if you're gonna see it yourself tonight? :) The ending scenes are immense, and the general atmosphere is thrilling and exciting even though I'm not a sci-fi fan at all. The only thing I didn't like were the "horror" elemnents added towards the ending. I felt that wasn't necessary.

Bloody-Disgusting learned this weekend that Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for Jurassic Park IV, which will film in Kauai, Hawaii later this year! Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise as Dr. Ellie Sattler here as Sam Neill will NOT return. We're told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes. Based on the I can now safely declare that this franchise has entered 'ridiculous sequel mode'. Watch for more news soon.
i really hope that they don't go down that road with this great franchise, they have made 3 hits, lets just leave it at that. unless they can get the original cast back, and due to dna splicing bring the dead ones back to life.

Shooter. What a piece of . It was kind of fun, but I really don't think I need to hear rants on the Iraq war, citations of Marx, and an Abu Ghraib accusation when I watch an action movie. in a.
that's on top of the ending, which just glorifies someone who doesn't need to be glorified.

the script has been tossed around for the past 2-3 years. It was recently greenlit. So, yeah. Jurassic Wars is coming to rock your world.

just saw an ad for "Shoot 'Em Up." Looked so stupid it might wind up being fun. unrealistic pointless action...I don't wanna get my hopes up, but I could really go for another Crank...unfortunately, Smoking Aces is still haunting my memories, and Paul Giamotti as anything other than a bumbling fool doesn't seem like it'll work.
full trailer (which wins major internet points for the last song :stongue: ):
edit: just watched it again. "there's no way you can cover up this whole thing." Great. I can smell the political BS from here. you, Hollywood.
