I was just talking to a friend about this today and they said the same exact thing. Just do it ghetto style and drink a bottle in the car before the show

I do that all the time! But if you're already inside the place then I recommend asking the bartender for a Long Island Ice Tea with EXTRA alcohol in it. It'll take you an hour to finish it and you will be pretty messed up, guaranteed. Why waste money on buying 5 beers when you can buy 1 hard ass drink and be extremely buzzed for the rest of the night.

Oh yeah... Long Islands will mess you up, esp since the alcohol taste is masked quite well. I remember an event a few years ago at the Mayan when I saw Ferry for the first time. Had myself a Long Island (along with a few other drinks) and I was chunking up dinner on the parking lot outside after closing. :wtf:

However to the topic at hand, as much as I love Ferry, I'm never going to a HOB venue ever again - I don't care who spins there. I was at Ferry's last appearance HOB in Hollywood a few weeks back and man that sucked. Small venue, HORRIBLE sound, stupid security with power issues. In other words, your typical Hollywood club. Ugh. A few friends of mine went to Vegas that weekend to see Armin @ HOB and they said the layout is exactly the same - with the same problems. Seems all the HOB venues are pretty much the same.

The only good thing about HOB that time was 1) Ferry played an awesome set, in spite of the ty sound, and 2) there were some mighty fine chicas in attendance (being Hollywood and all).

Cheers.

from what i heard, the one in anaheim is much bigger than the one in hollywood... don't know about the sound / security though.
