I've been blasting my ears listening to this band for over 5 years. These guys are the kings of hard electronica and very alternative dance music.
There's been a while when they decided to take a break for over 2 years and there's been rumours going on about them splitting up.
That's in bull, they r back and hopefully will be releasing new album next year.
Here are some of their new tour dates(yes, yes they r official):
17/8/01: Festival Rock Oz'Arenes 10ans, Avenches, Switzerland
18/8/01: Bizarre Festival, Weeze, Germany
24/8/01: Lowlands Festival, Holland
25/8/01: Pukkelpop Festival , Belgium

For more info check out this brilliant fan site:

So for those of u who live in Holland or Germany I suggest u don't miss that event. |

| Didn't some of the members break up? I saw that on mtv news 1 day. Too many rumors on mtv I swear, where Britney Spears was getting married to Justin Timberlake. |

Yes u r right, Leeroy Thornhill (the 3rd guy on the pic) has quit the band in april of the year 2000.As he says the reason for this is his solo projects and producing his own music.
They realesed out some of their old stuff again a month ago it's called Experience/Expanded. It's a double CD with an old 'Experience' album and some old rare remixes but I dunno why did they do that? Probably just for the money purposes.
Anyway, their live gigs is the biggest cuzz on earth. |

| It's not hardcore whatever u call it or many people say they are techno. It's not techno either The Prodigy frontman Liam Howlett describes their style as hard dance music. |

| I heard somewhere that Prodigy was re-releasing "The Prodigy Experience" with a bonus CD with unreleased tracks & B sides. I wonder what that's like. |

Yeah, same here. I was 11, and I really liked that tune. One year later I heard "Out Of Space", from the first album, and I couldn't stop listening to it.:D:D |

I think I never really like them...
Always have seen their music as sort of crappy noise...
But I was really young when they were popular :) |

i used to love the prodigy when i was younger!
'music for the jilted generation' was ace, used to liten to it all the time. i think that was one of my first doses of dance music actually (if you can call it that)!
do you remember 'claustraphobic sting'? (did i spell that right? oh well)

yep that's what it's called: "Claustrophobic String" that's some crazy tune.
I really liked The Fat of The Land more than anything else...

True story about The Prodigy :)
I live about 20 miles away from 3 members of The Prodigy
thats Near Chelmsford in Essex UK.
Keith of The Prodigy lives in a place called Felstead just outside of Chelmsford but before he bought his new place, he looked at many homes in the area including my Mom's which was for sale at the time.
So he comes round, gives my mom's place the once over and heads upstairs to veiw it and on to my sister's bedroom.
She is a bit of a Hippy into all sorts of dance music
flyers all over her walls etc.
So keith looking at the flyers , Ask's "so i see you like dance music, ever heard of a band called The Prodigy ? "
My sister replys " Oh yeah i heard of them, they are total crap ! "
(she said this not realising who she was talking to )
Hence keith did not buy my Mom's house lol
And now my sister is a devoted Prodigy Fan lol
(This all happened a while back about 7 years ago before the Jilted Generation Album )
