if approved, thats $165 billion+ total so far. guess all those left wing lunatics, Scott Ritter, Mi6, and the CIA were right, no WDMs! no terrorist there (well now there is that we are there, but i dont see them as terrorists but as freedom fighters, we're occupying their country)
imagine what we in this country could of done with that 165 billion. rebuild all the schools, work on the roads and bridges, maybe even build new public transportation systems. that would create lots of new jobs, and help the econmy. heh with that money we wouldn't had to cut veteran benefits, reduce military pay (remember SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!), or cut domestic programs. I bet republicans are happy about this though, all of this money is being taken from SSI, from Headstart, from all of the social programs that the republican party hates
also bush mentioned about making sacrifices, what has his corporate buddies and himself scarified? bush went AWOL during his last year of service, has made ridiculous tax cuts for the rich, and may even be profiting from this war
guess we didnt learn our lesson from vietnam. i really wish there was another party to vote for :( |

I wonder what the American general public will say about the 87 billion | The American public doesnt even know what 87 billion could do domestically
your other points are good, and I believe they are in PNAC as well :nervous: |

To try to put $87 Billion in perspective...
We spend $35 Billion a year on education. (note that that isn't even half)
We spend $2.5 Billion on Aids research.
All this after another round of tax cuts. Bush is just insane. Deficit(sp) will be hitting half a trillion dollars this year. Sooner or later, the dollar will fall, and the US will be in serious trouble. |

| It's fascinating how general population can be naive and short sighted. It was obvious Bush's politics were gonna end up this way, and still he had the support of vast popular masses. |

Correction: still has the support of the masses:

At least the trend's sloping in the right direction though. He currently has his highest "disapproval rating" since the last poll taken before September 11 2001. |
