What's in the .bat file?
It should be just a plain text file.
You get a DOS prompt? If so, find the file and just and enter:
code: type tamrof.bat
This will display the file to the screen.
Need a little more info... |

So no DOS prompt?
If not, start the computer with a boot disk (floppy). |

LOL!
You don't know any DOS commands?
Try typing code: cd "dir name"
to go the directory with the file. Type code: dir
to list all files and dirs in the current directory.
Should be somewhere like this:
code: c:\mydocu~1\myrece~1
Hope this helps, else let me know. |

it works thanks so much
i written the file down here what it says:
code: tamrof.bat
type 'This is a joke please read the filename the other way'
rem format c:\ /y
so what do i have to do now
:toothless :toothless |

OK, so this file is not the cause of your problem.
The format c: command isn't executed because of the REM statement in front of it, so don't worry about it.
Don't have a lot of ideas of what is wrong with your comp, but you can try to do a registry scan. Maybe it'll help...
In DOS prompt just type code: scanreg
