hey,
ok i've never reformatted my computer and lately its been giving me lots of . of course, i don't want to lose everything. i have a second HD so if i move all the stuff i want to keep over to that...i shouldn't have any problems right? and what about my ethernet card...it has separate software...would i need to reinstall that too?? i'm a little scared :nervous: |

Always back up all your stuff on CDs... cuz u just never know :D
And yeah you would have to reinstall the software on your ethernet card if it's not recognized by your pc :tongue2
Just out of curiosity, how long have you had your pc for? |

Providing you format the right hard drive (:p ) there shouldn't be a problem. It ought to be as simple as moving all the stuff you want to keep to that second hard drive, then popping your Windows install disc in and going from there. I think.
You will probably need to put that extra software on in order for your ethernet card to work. |

| a lot of people recommend reformating once or twice a year. I reformat my computer about once a year, backing up everything that i would like to have on the new clean disk. It'll work out any kinks with ur machine, usually. ugh, i hate it when reformatting doesn't solve the problem. anyways, go for the reformat and give u a clean start |

and what about my cd-rw drive...do you think that will read properly...it came installed with my computer when i bought it?? |

| Its funny you ask about this because I reformated 2 days ago, I have 2 drivers C: which is for windows, games and proggies and D: with is for MP3's, porn and games to burn ... the C:\ is 40gb and D:\ is 60GB, so I only formated the C drive and reinstall whatever I had to since I had it backed up, I NEVER format or will format D:\ cuz I cant back it up since I have 40GB on it :eyespop: |
