You want to improve the quality of your life by leaps and bounds? Stop believing that there are mystical forces watching your every move. Think about how you'd feel if they monitored your internet usage at work - now extend that to everyday life and pretend that you can't even communicate with this "authority" and that they can see everything you do - pretty crappy huh?
"What comes around goes around"... bah, we've all heard the cliché, but when have we ever seen it in practice? Who decides which "going" action should receive which "coming" action?
Religion would have you believe that there is some sort of absolute moral standard - there isn't, everything is relative. I think it's funny how people say that god/karma stops them from doing certain things that they really want to do, but in reality, those people just lack the confidence to do it and are use those beliefs as a crutch. That's just how I see it, though. |
