College Football (the american version) is a big thing where i go to school at. we usually have crowds of 75,000 up to 85,000 per football game on saturdays. i usually go to every home game but its impossible to tell you how great an experience it usually is... we even have this thing called Midnight Yell the night before home games and well, last weekend we played Utah, here's what one of them had to say about this... i couldnt stop laughing

I don't know the meaning in this case. But when you "hunt" frogs with a forked stick it is called "Frog Gigging".
I assume they are using a similar meaning. Could even be based on a rivalry with TCU (the Horned Frogs).
Izzy will explain better probably.

ya gig'em originated from going giggin' and now we use it as a saying to others meaning 'best of luck to you' or 'hope you catch the big one' or 'hope you do well in the future'.
:p
ya we have crazy talk over here with y'all and fixin' as common words. |
