It may be acceptable in California, but here [eastern Washington], it's just annoying.
I have an acquaintance here, who I can only describe as an Israelian wigga, who uses it every chance he gets. Incorrectly at times, I might add.

| i do use hella. and it is a norcal thing. i dont really care what other people think so i still use it. its part of my vocabulary that will not change. its just like peope in NY use mad. mad this and mad that. i thought it was wierd when my friend was visiting cali and he was using that. |
