This forum requires some thick skin. It's quite easy to take things somewhat personally and misconstrue some of what others say as being racist. In the heat of the argument both sides tend to generalize without even realizing it.
Melech will always have his terrorist monkeys (with their palestinain supporter lacker monkeys) and Cyrus will have his nazi zionists, but neither is truly racist (as much as one can tell over the internet). A few instances of crossing the line, impassioned argument should not result in total bannage and nor should that constitute reason for getting rid of this forum. The whole partyprincess thread in teh chillout forum is just as, if not more so, mean spirited and inflammatory than most of what's in here. At any rate, this forum has accomplished about a 1000 times more in terms of educating than it has in spreading hate/racism.
So to sum things up, if you'd like to learn a thing or two with analysis from several viewpoints than stop by. If you're going to be easily offended/incited by the usual suspects than I'd advise you to stay out. Everybody who regularly frequents these forums wants it to remain in place. |

I personally have a hard time reading/posting on other TA forums. This is the only one that tends to stimulate my few brain cells anymore. Oh the occasional random post in Chillout doesn't hurt, but I just can't do it too often.

anyways back to the original topic... i think mike went in excess with his threads and multiple posts. there were so many around it really couldnt hold my interest (along with lack of time). There's nothing more i enjoy than a rational, logically thoughtout arguement about the israel/palestine subject, but there ended up being to many that lacked any seriousness. especially with some of those ping pong messages:
